Previous roles
I started my library career in 2003 as a Library Assistant at Auckland University and worked on the lending desk, I also had a brief stint in the serials department. Then in 2006 I applied for a Library Assistant role with a law firm. I have worked in law firms ever since.
Present role: Buddle Findlay
In 2015, I was appointed as a Research and Information Manager with Buddle Findlay. I am responsible for the day to day management of the library. I am based in the Auckland office.
My role involves completing research requests and document supply, collection management, media and current awareness monitoring, budget management, teaching legal research and database skills, and vendor contracts and negotiation. It can be quite busy and challenging at times but the work is interesting and varied and there is always something to do.
I have been very involved with the NZLLA throughout my career, I have served as Auckland Coordinator, Secretary and currently I serve as Vice President. I have always found the NZLLA to be very valuable for the connections and for the collegial support that it offers. I am happy to give my time to support the NZLLA and I enjoy meeting new members.
