NZLLA Event: Legal information professionals roles/careers series of sessions - Thursday 15 April 2021, 1-2pm
15 Apr 2021
Zoom-only session
Please join us for the third in a series of sessions highlighting the career options/different types of workplaces for legal information professionals. In April we will be talking to three legal information professionals from academic libraries:
Kate Thompson, Law Librarian, University of Otago
Theresa Buller, Subject Librarian for Law and Criminal Justice, University of Canterbury
Nicky Rawnsley, Team Leader, Learning and Teaching Development, University of Auckland
We’ll be asking them how they got into their field, about their role and their team, and their views on the challenges and opportunities for our profession.
This will be a Zoom-only session so it won’t matter what alert level we’re at.
Date: Thursday 15th April
Time: 1-2pm
Please contact Julie or Erin for the Zoom link.
SLIS members, ASIP members and MIS students are welcome to attend.
We are hoping to hold future sessions with groups of other legal information professionals, including from the following libraries:
• government libraries
• Parliamentary Library
• Law Society libraries
If you are interested in being involved in future sessions please contact me or Erin.
We hope to see you then.
Julie
