Expressions of Interest for NZLLA 2023 Conference Committee

22 Aug 2022

The NZLLA Executive would like to invite any NZLLA member who would like to be involved and assist with organising our 2023 Conference to please email an Expression of Interest. The Committee is currently comprised of Erin Cairney, Claire Dowling, Julie Matthews, and Nadine Fathers.

If you are passionate about law librarianship and have good organising skills this may be of interest to you. It would look good on your CV also. My participation in the 2021 Conference Committee lead to my nomination as 2021-2022 National Treasurer as well as a great deal of personal satisfaction.

This is a great opportunity to help shape the kind of conference you want to attend: format (in-person, online, hybrid?) and topics. To help the conference committee get started we would appreciate members taking 5 minutes to fill out this quick survey to steer us in the directions you are interested in.

The time commitment will include fortnightly teleconference meetings in addition to undertaking organising tasks as required. The conference is generally held in August but the date is yet to be confirmed.

We are looking for individuals to undertake the following roles:
• Lead our search for keynote and other speakers including speaker logistics
• Contact and manage relationships with our sponsors
• To be responsible for all Conference promotion through our NZLLA social media channels
• Be part of the general Committee and assist as required.

It would be great to have a number of members participate from various organisations and levels of law librarianship.
Please email your Expression of Interest including the following details to Claire Dowling by 30 August 2022.
