Secure Shopping

The NZLLA is conscious of the need for privacy & security.

We use sophisticated encryption technology. This means at the checkout, our servers and your PC encrypt (scramble) everything that you enter into your computer, such as credit card details, billing and delivery address. Because it is encrypted, other computers are unable to make sense of it, therefore keeping this information private.

There are visual clues on screen that tell you when you have entered a secure environment. In the bottom of your browser, the key or padlock icon, which is normally broken, becomes solid.

As part of the software used by NZLLA there are secure processes built into the store. Specifically the engine ensures:

Every order has a unique number
Every order is logged in a robust database
All your payment details can only be retrieved by NZLLA in an encrypted session
Confirmation emails of your order are sent to you the customer

Refunds

Events

Event payments: conference attendance fees, social events which require pre-payment, and any other NZLLA organised events which incur a fee for members; will be refunded if the attendance is cancelled up to 24 hours before the start of the event.

Membership

Membership subscription fee payments will only be refunded if received in conjunction with a membership cancellation request between 1 July (when membership is renewed) and 1 November (the last date renewals are due to be paid).

Overpayment

Overpayment or duplicate payments received in relation to the same invoice/event/item and member will be refunded back to the person or organisation which made the payment.

Emails

We only email you if you want us to. We do not send unsolicited emails. When you register your email address with us you go on a list to receive email announcements about products, offers and promotions from NZLLA. We do not disclose your email address to third parties.

Every email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond. If at any time you decide you do not want to receive our emails simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. This will remove your email address from our mailing list. If you unsubscribe you will still receive emails specifically related to your online orders.
