Employment

Previous roles

I started as a Library Shelver at Victoria University, working over the summer of 2011 to help with relocating the collection for the construction of the Hub. I was at Vic for around 7 years, working my way up to Desk Assistant, then Library Assistant, then finally getting a short-term secondment as Subject Librarian for Law.

In 2019, I started at Parliamentary Library as a Research Librarian, doing a combination of legal and generalist research for MPs and their staff. In 2022 I had another short-term secondment as a Senior Research Adviser, focusing primarily on legal and environmental research.

In 2023, I joined the Research and Library Services team at Crown Law. My role involves providing high quality and timely legal research to teams across Crown Law using a range of hardcopy and electronic legal, legislative, and parliamentary resources. This includes researching case law from New Zealand and overseas, compiling legislative histories, undertaking literature reviews across different areas of law, and producing current awareness bulletins.

I have been heavily involved in launching a monthly bulletin for the Office highlighting Māori and indigenous legal issues.

Present role:

Chapman Tripp

I Joined Chapman Tripp in 2025 as a Research Librarian. My role involves providing research on case law, legislation, and all types of legal and business information to lawyers across the firm. I also curate and compile current awareness bulletins, as well as proactively keeping counsel and members of our business development team up to date with developments in their areas of interest.
