2022/2023 Membership Renewals Due

28 Jun 2022

1 July marks the beginning of the new NZLLA financial year. Our Association is an active group of law librarians and information professionals and your membership fees directly cover the cost of running the Association. From 1 July, the membership fee is $100. We reluctantly had to put the fee up to cover the increased running costs of the Association.

Benefits of your NZLLA membership include:

• Online professional developments sessions
• Details about the July session are being finalised
• Recordings and presentation slides from professional development sessions and conferences are available on demand in the Members area of the website under Document Storage
• Networking opportunities and in-person drinks and dinners
• Scholarships to online and NZ legal information conferences
• Knowledge sharing via monthly meetings, through the law-libs listserv and our New Zealand Law Librarians’ Association LinkedIn group

In the pipeline for 2022/2023:
• Mentorship/introductions programme to connect our members
• Inclusion in working groups with LIANZA to promote NZLLA to the wider information and library sector and beyond
• 2023 NZLLA Conference
• Online Asia Pacific Health, Law, Specials Conference 2023
• Continuing the online professional development sessions
• Christmas/end of year event

The NZLLA National Executive is also working through the changes required by the Incorporated Societies Act 2021. This involves reviewing and amending the Constitution. We will keep you updated at the monthly meetings of our progress and provide opportunities for feedback and comments before a Special Meeting will be held We expect to complete this towards the end of next year.

Thank-you to all those who choose to continue your NZLLA membership. If you no longer wish to be a member of the NZLLA, do let me know and we will update our records.
