NZLLA members invited to attend AALL

Posted 25/02/2014

From Ann Paton;

I have received a letter from Steven P. Anderson, President of the AALL, in which he says:

“On behalf of the American Association of Law Libraries, I am pleased to invite the members of the New Zealand Law Librarians’ Association (NZLLA) to our 107th Annual Meeting and Conference, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas, July 12-15, 2014.

Designed by law librarians, for law librarians, the AALL Annual Meeting and Conference offers more than 60 educational programs and workshops, as well as library tours and other special events.  In addition to the educational programming, the conference offers an extensive Exhibit Hall with more than 190 booths. You will find more information at

Please let your members know that they are invited to register for our conference at the AALL Member Discount rate here:  When registering online as a nonmember of AALL, NZLLA members will need to enter the code 88888 in the ‘Promotional Code for Partner Associations' box, which will allow them to receive the AALL Member Discount rate.  If registering by fax or mail, the registrant should indicate that they have a “sister” organization membership (NZLLA) when completing the registration form.

Hotel and travel reservation information can be found at

We hope that some of your members will be able to travel to the U.S. to attend our event.  If so, we'll look forward to welcoming them in person to San Antonio.

The NZLLA National Executive is currently considering what sponsorship the Association can offer to assist members in representing the NZLLA at events such as this. Keep an eye on lawlib and on the NZLLA website for information in due course.
